What You See is an international and multidisciplinary arts festival about gender and identity. Every year we organise a festival with a challenging and urgent program for a broad audience. We bring together dance, theater, music, visual arts, poetry, spoken word, parties and debate from and with professional artists to Utrecht. 

What You See stands for an inclusive, equal world. International, multidisciplinary, positively activist and connecting, the festival celebrates the power of diversity. This year, What You See will take place from the from November 14 to 17.

In June you'll start with 1 day a week, building up to 3 days a week and full-time the week of the festival.

PROFILE
We are looking for a production manager (x/f/m) with knowledge of and experience in the cultural field and affinity with the themes of gender and identity. You believe in the impact that art can have and want to contribute to the development of the organisation from the productional side. You are proactive, contribute with your own ideas and enjoy working with a team towards a festival. You master the Dutch language (enough to be able to use it well) and are also able to communicate in English. Festival experience is a pro.

You work closely with artistic and general director Vincent Wijlhuizen, programmer and dramaturge Annette van Zwoll and business producer Rick Busscher. With them, you'll work on:

• the concrete translation and realisation of the artistic program
• creating a pleasant and safe festival atmosphere for visitors and artists 
• creating, maintaining and implementing the production plan and maintaining the production budget
• maintain production-related contact with artists and companies from home and abroad
• identifying and solving production problems
• managing and collaborating with colleagues (including production employee, volunteer coordinator and the technical producer)
• maintaining good contacts with external suppliers, catering, theaters and festival locations
