We still live in a world in which equal rights for everyone are not guaranteed. Women's rights, the visibility and acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community, the position of people with a bicultural background, bodies that do not meet the norm, all are still under pressure.

The mission of What You See festival is to make the world more equal. We do this by actively looking for artists from these different communities and giving them a prominent place within our festival. To do research, to show work and to inspire and engage with the public.
