Ragazze Quartet, Jorinde Keesmaat, Tom W. Green & Lucia Lucas

Award-winning British poet Carol Ann Duffy's collection of poems offers a surprising perspective on historical female figures. What You See Festival co-produces this performance in which their voices come to life. A feminist, witty and exhilarating opera.

With text, song, string quartet and loop station we see a sexually awakening Little Red Riding Hood, an angry Princess Salome and a motherly Queen Herod, who kills all male babies out of love for her daughter. Baritone Lucia Lucas takes on all roles and, together with the Ragazze Quartet, searches for a new female voice.
