People try to define everything; gender, sexuality, borders. Important themes which were already touched on by artists like Francesca Woodman and Robert Mapplethorpe. Inspired by the works and lives of artists like these, a performance was created by students of the HKU as a result of long, meaningful discussions and intimate research. Maybe, Human Landscape is an attempt to ram through this overly nuanced and way too politically correct culture. Maybe it’s something entirely different. For a landscape is, of course, ever-changing.
Human Landscape can first be seen at Leidsche Rijn Center on Saturday, November 24, after which it is shown during the festival on November XNUMX in Theater Kikker.
